Goldbook@ulster.net

A feast for book lovers located in the heart of Woodstock. A separate adjoining Children's Bookstore has a huge selection of books, tapes and interactive toys for young people, parents and teachers.

The Golden Notebook is a full-service bookstore with a knowledgeable and accommodating staff. We are located in Woodstock, NY, a beautiful historic village nestled in the Catskill Mountains and part of the upstate region known as the Hudson Valley. Founded in 1978, the bookstore overflowed into the adjoining building ten years later to open a children’s bookstore. The Golden Notebook unites an intimate, casual, country atmosphere with the intellectual stimulation of a fine urban bookshop, reflecting the eclectic and eccentric nature of Woodstock.

The Reader's Quarry The Reader's Quarry

97 Tinker Street
Woodstock, NY. 12498

anne@readersquarry.com

A cottage book store offering used and rare books of all kinds. Located opposite the Woodstock Library, a short walk from town center. Parking available. Open Thursday-Monday noon to 5pm

We carry all kinds of books, but focus on the arts. Fine art, literature, poetry, criticism, music, theater, film, dance, cooking, gardening, biographies of writers and artists, modern first editions, childrens', literary fiction and classics, spiritualism; you'll find all these and more. We also do searches, sell on the internet book sites, and, of course, love to welcome buyers to deal in person with us via the bookstore. The internet is wonderful as a resource, but there is nothing like browsing--and holding, touching, and turning the pages of a book. We offer discounts to book dealers, and often adjust prices to encourage young and beginning book collectors. We are always looking to buy books of all kinds in good condition. Please call before bringing us books so that we can help you in the most efficient way possible.
