We propose to produce plays that will attract and build a cross section audience old and young in an effort to maintain a theatrical tradition of theatre going. We plan to accomplish this by offering productions that will challenge and entertain audiences. We as producers will accomplish this by staging original works as well as revivals that are seldom seen but continue to challenge and entertain audiences. These works will be by playwrights from America and around the world.
Most importantly our purpose is to maintain the public's interest in theatrical productions while charging low cost entrance fees.

The Woodstock Playhouse stands at the entrance to our Colony of the Arts as an invitation for all to experience the joys of attending live performances. First built in 1928, the Woodstock Playhouse was one of the original theatres in the U.S. to offer a summer stock season. Now under new ownership, the Woodstock Playhouse continues to present summer stock theatre performances to the community. The Pan American Dance Foundation, Inc., the new owner of the Woodstock Playhouse, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the enrichment of the Arts through Performance and Education. The Foundation has owned and operated the New York Conservatory for the Arts of Hurley, which has presented theatrical productions and provided high level training in the Music Theatre Arts for over 25 years. And now, for the first time in its history, the Woodstock Playhouse is open year-round as a venue for local and touring productions of theatre, music, and dance as well as film and theatre festivals.

The Playhouse also houses two large Fine Art exhibit spaces.
